Typefi acquisition FAQ

Typefi has acquired Edifix! 🎉 We're committed to keeping the service running smoothly—your account, subscription, and data are unaffected. If you have questions, you'll find answers below.

Will there be any changes to billing for services that we've already paid for?

No. The merchant of record will remain Braintree, and your subscription will transfer seamlessly.

Will the expiration date for the plan we're currently on remain the same?

Yes. Your plan will continue as it did before the acquisition and end on its original expiration date.

What changes are you making to the license agreement?

The primary change is replacing the previous owners' names (Atypon/Inera) with "Typefi". We are also moving the governing law and jurisdiction from the State of New York to the State of Queensland, Australia, where Typefi is headquartered. We've also updated the mailing address and email contacts for privacy, security, and service and support enquiries.

Has anything changed about how Edifix works?

No. Edifix processes your references exactly as it always has—using a rules-based parsing engine that identifies the structural elements of each reference and matches them against authoritative sources, including Crossref, PubMed, and Retraction Watch, for verification, enrichment, and linking. The same reference always produces the same result, and Edifix never fabricates a citation. That reliability is unchanged.
