Connect Typefi Orion to a Typefi Server

Typefi Orion needs a connection to a Typefi Server to attach to publications and workflows and produce output. There are a few different server addresses depending on the product you purchased:

Typefi Desktop	http://localhost:8080
Typefi Workgroup	Please ask your Solutions Consultant
Typefi Cloud	https://orion.typefi.net

You will also need a username and password provided by Typefi or your IT department. If you are unsure, ask your Solutions Consultant.

Adding a server connection

To connect Orion to a Typefi Server:

1. In the Orion tab, within the Orion group, click Options.
   
2. In the Typefi Orion Options dialog, go to Server connections and click Add.
3. In the Connect to Server dialog, type in the server address, for example, for Typefi Cloud type: https://orion.typefi.net and click Next.

Typefi Desktop

The server address uses https:// by default. If you are using Typefi Desktop, replace this with http://.

4. Enter your username and password, then select Remember my password.
5. Click Test. If the test is successful, you will receive the message: 'Successfully connected to server.'
6. Click OK.
7. (If applicable) If you have multiple Cloud server connections, select the server address, for example, https://orion.typefi.net and click Set as Default.
8. Click OK in the Connect to Server dialog.
