Fix All Caps and Small Caps

Fix All Caps and Small Caps performs two corrections across your entire document:

• ALL CAPS format — Converts Word's ALL CAPS character format to true uppercase characters. After processing, the characters are literally uppercase and the ALL CAPS format attribute is removed.
• Small Caps format — Removes Small Caps formatting from uppercase letters. After processing, Small Caps is preserved only on lowercase characters.

Both changes are visible in Word immediately after the workflow runs. The workflow correctly handles accented and international characters. No prerequisites or follow-up steps are required.

Run Fix All Caps and Small Caps

1. Open your document in Microsoft Word.
2. Select the Advanced Workflow tool
   
   to open a dropdown (Word → Orion → Edit → Advanced Workflows).
3. Select Fix All Caps and Small Caps. Typefi Orion processes the entire document silently—no queries or comments are inserted.

After running

If text was not converted as expected, check the following.

Why wasn't some text converted?

The workflow processes Word's built-in ALL CAPS and Small Caps character formats only. Text formatted through a custom character style that includes ALL CAPS or Small Caps as a formatting attribute is not affected.

Action: Check whether the unconverted text is using a named character style. If so, the formatting will need to be removed manually.
